“You Will Always Go Far With CTR”
Ctr will always help you because your choosing the right and when you choose the right good and rewarding things happen for example if I have a big test the next day, and friends invite me to crazy college party and I refuse to go because I have to study, I will get a good score on the test just by choosing the right. Ctr is hard to do but if you focus on choosing the right you will always get great results. For example I once had a friend that liked to smoke marijuana he always kept offering me marijuana until I no longer spoke to him I knew that was choosing the wrong the next week he got caught smoking I was proud that I choose the right.
If you choose the wrong there is going to be consequences for example if I smoke and drink I will eventually have health problems like lung cancer, heart attack, and liver cancer. That could have been avoided by choosing the right you see choosing the wrong is the wrong way to go and you will go completely nowhere if you choose the wrong you will end up in jail. Many people succeed by choosing the right if people didn’t choose the right many things wouldn’t exist the more people succeed the more things they can accomplish. I want to choose the right to be something in life and have a good paying job so that I can afford all the things I want. I do not want to have a job that I would not enjoy or a job that doesn’t pay as much.

Academic Success Part 2

Laura B.’s academic story
In high school I was one of the good students who didn't really have to study to be good student. The information that I took for notes in class usually sunk in enough for me to be able to get on the tests by simply reviewing the material just before the class began. It wasn't that I didn't try, I had a 4.0 all throughout high school, but I never had to put forth much of an effort to get the results that I wanted to see. In collage however, that changed. Not only did I start studying and reading the book, but I began to understand that the little tiny facts were just as important as the general concepts. My overall study method: I do the reading that is required for the classes, and try to keep it up. If id o fall behind, I usually use the notes in class and actually attend every class that I can. Sometimes, with volleyball, it’s tough because we are on the road a lot, but if I do miss class of volleyball I make sure that I get the notes from another student in the class. Also, for a subject such as chemistry, I do practice problems to help me understand what the materials mean.

I will persist until I succeed
Part 2
How I've overcome an initial bad grade: when receiving a bad grade, I just try to do better on the second exam and study harder. It’s hard when you have your first test in a class and have no idea what to expect. The second one is usually easier since you know what to expect from your teachers

My strategies for written assignments: start early and make sure that you have it proofread. Also, with written assignment, having a timeline planned out can help by setting a certain number of pages done by a certain day before the paper is due.

How I succeed in team projects: COMMUNICATION! Despite the group’s synergy, communication is crucial. I remember I am out of cell phone minutes constantly when working on a group projects for my marketing research class. It’s really important that everyone is on the same page and getting same emails. The worst is when two people are working on the same portion of the project and don’t even realize it

You can succeed in School if you will
                           Part 4
As kennedy lay crumpled in her hospital bed following the accident, she realized that many of her wounds were invisible. ‘’after the car accident, I suffered from low self-esteem and depression,’’ she said. ‘’for years, I allowed someone I loved physically, mentally and emotional abuse’’.
She had previously tried taking a few DCCC classes, but she said she was immature and not ready for academic challenge. She dropped out. After the accident she returned to DCCC to take cosmetology classes she left school a second time and began working as a certified nursing assistant. After yet another car accident she felt unstable, hopeless, and didn’t know what to do

You Can Succeed in School

If You Will

Part 1

Chris Mishak, who earned a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from DCCC in 1998, is the second MLT graduate from DCCC to be accepted into physician assistant’s school.

In August 2011, Mishak will begin studying at Emory University in Atlanta to become a physician’s assistant.

He says DCCC prepared him well to transfer to Winston-Salem state University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in clinical laboratory science in 2004. Since then, he has worked in the lab at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

“I learned pretty much everything that I needed to know about laboratory science at DCCC. Many of the clinical applications that I learned there I still use today either in my medical volunteering in phlebotomy or in the duties of my current job, which includes training new technologists on cell identification,” said Mishak.

It is pretty easy to be successful in school. If students work hard and honorably, it’s not difficult at all. All students need to do is study, put in the time: it’s as simple as that. If students aren’t willing to study now, it will be very difficult to develop this later on. Therefore, I suggest that students work hard in their studies and at being good people, doing nothing to get them in trouble during high school. By doing so, they will enjoy success during high school and throughout their lifetime.

How to Always Succeed in School

¨ Many people avoid making decisions their whole lives, so their decisive faculty of mind, the faculty of discrimination, becomes rusty and dies. Such people become totally dependent on others. When we study the four functions of the mind—Bodhi, the faculty of decisiveness;  ego, the principle of identity; chitta, the store house of impressions; and manes, the importer and exporter of sensation and experience—then we become aware of the power of the will.

¨ Watch what you do on a daily basis. We become what we do and think about. If you think about being a great student-you will become a great student-you will become a great student.

Do the math. Even if you’re struggling in math, stay with it. Knowing math gives you options. It opens doors to good jobs in computers, engineering and business. And it helps your mind get organized.

Ä         Take math problems one step one step at a time.

Ä         Do your math homework every day, Falling behind will make it that much hardier.

Ä         Ask for help and study with friends if you are having problems understanding a concept.

Ä         The first point to understand is the philology and science of decisions on time. The most successful person is that person who knows how to decide on time.

Write. Writing is a way to express yourself; your ideas, opinions and knowledge. And you may do a lot of it in college and on job.

Write a little every day. try keeping a daily journal to make a habit of writing

Let your writing sit for a while and then come back to it.

Read your writing out loud or have someone read it to you.

Edit someone else’s writing and let that person edit yours.

Learn to write and write to learn

Write creatively. Writing on your personal web blog is a great way to put your words into writing and to journalize your writing day after day.

Write your life history

Write your life’s goals in a journal review these goals often; revise your goals as needed. But, write them down.

graduate from High School

What will I do to graduate high school you might ask? Well I will do everything and anything in my power to graduate. I will do what it takes to be at the top, considering others as well. I will be the kindest person alive if I have to. I will use most of my free time to study, if that’s what it takes. I will ostracize myself from everyone if it indeed takes that. I say I will do these extremes because to me education is the second most important thing in my life. If I had to sell all of my possessions in order to go to school, I would do it.  The most important thing in life is family.
I really want to graduate I want to make my family proud about me. I also want to live in a nice house with cool cars and a job I actually love I don’t want to near hp I want to move somewhere nice and decent

While we grow, we learn and mature and start our own lives and families, but to get any of that you must have an education, a high school education to be precise. My education can get me to places I have never been to or ever dreamed of. That is why I will do anything in my power to graduate high school. Some examples of what I am doing to graduate.

·         paying attention in class to not only the instructor but fellow students

·         studying every subject (even if I don’t have homework) after school and sometimes before

·         think about the consequences of my actions and act depending on the situation

·         expect to receive all exams and assignments with the best possible answer I could have gotten

How To Always Succeed in School

Study. Yeah, that’s right. Study. Read, review and analyze class materials so you know it. This takes time, effort and quite place. If you learn how to study now, you’ll be way ahead before you even start college.

·       Ask for help if you’re having trouble. You may need to ask more than one person.

·       Have a special area for studying where you won’t be distracted.

·       Study in small “chunks” and take regular breaks. Try not to cram.

·       Have a regular study routine to make studying a habit.

·       Study with a friend or group and share information.

Listen and ask questions. Still afraid of looking stupid? Don’t worry about it. If you’ve got a question about something, chances are your classmates do too.

·     Review your notes and assignments before class.

·     Give your teacher your full attention and concentrate on what is being said.

·     Relate the topic to what you already know and listen for main ideas.

·     Make eye contact with your teacher and take notes.

·     Ask questions if you don’t understand, but try not to interrupt your teacher. Raise your hand or wait until your teacher pauses or asks for questions.

You can use medication and visualization techniques to initiate your vision, and they can certainly be learned both for that purpose and for each step you take to reach your goals. Simply, visualize your desire goals, that of being a start student, a champion of doing what is right, and see yourself working hardtop become outstanding and your dreams and vision will materialize as you pursue these objectives. Weather studying or in general life, planning is an imperative skill. Here, we must strictly set the hours for studying, and should promote regularity in doing so. Don’t put off your studies to the last moment (just before the test),because in that moment you will be feeling stress and pressure, and both factors will prove disturbing for your learning; that’s the high price of procrastination during the exam it’s important to forget about panic and stress. And if you are planning for your thesis, you may find this post useful. Other planning tip I frequently use give is that, when you are assigned a homework try to solve it as quickly as possible,

They concentrate on the process of solving the task and understanding the involved ideas. Of course we are interested in getting good results but the process is more important. A result is a very brief moment of life, while learning to develop process is a skill that will last for the whole life.

They interpret and analyze errors as a way of increasing their learning I.e., they try to learn for their mistakes. This way they see errors and failures as opportunities.

They look for the required information in several channels (book, journals, newspaper, experts, internet, and so on

They consult experts and teachers frequently this action provides a new perspective about studied topics

ACQUIRING THE HABITS PART 7

Acquiring the habits of Highly Successful Students

Part 7

.Everyone wants to be successful in life, but where are the keys to success? Do we have to go out and search for those keys or do we have those potentials already within ourselves? When we begin to examine life, we can see that it is divided into two aspects – life within life without internal life and external life – and we can see that these aspects are of equal importance. Even if we have renounced the world, gone far away from civilization, and live in the wilderness doing nothing but meditation we cannot ignore external life. We still have to see that we eat, do our ablutions, and perform our practices on time. So life in the external world is as important as life in The internal world.

Acquiring The Habits of Highly Successful Students - Part 6

If you prefer to play videogames, then remember that making any games requires to prepare a detailed script including history, characters, goals and relations. Therefore, you could start writing down the script for your “dream” game. On the other side, you could imagine how the novel you are reading could be transformed into a videogame (start out by thinking which gaming genre fits the novel better: role-playing, adventure, action, and so on.) The basic idea is to find match points and links between our affection and our chores. And such links there always exist. Remember, to link ideas and concepts is the most important habit for successful students.

Successful students also exhibit other particular traits we should internalize:
- They are always trying to discover better approaches in order to accomplish their tasks (adequate studying place, availability of resources, etc.) You may find my post on Pristine Home with Feng Shui useful for improving your studying environment.

These are the diseases cause by smoking

These are the diseases cause by smoking

Every year hundreds of thousands of people around the world die from diseases caused by smoking cigarettes - Smoking KILLS.

One in two lifetime smokers will die from their habit. Half of these deaths will occur in middle age.

Tobacco smoke also contributes to a number of cancers.

The mixture of nicotine and carbon monoxide in each cigarette you smoke temporarily increases your heart rate and blood pressure, straining your heart and blood vessels.

This can cause heart attacks and stroke. It slows your blood flow, cutting off oxygen to your feet and hands. Some smokers end up having their limbs
amputated
.

Tar coats your lungs like soot in a chimney and causes cancer. A 20-a-day smoker breathes in up to a full cup (210 g) of tar in a year.

\Changing to low-tar cigarettes does not help because smokers usually take deeper puffs and hold the smoke in for longer, dragging the tar deeper into their lungs.

Carbon monoxide robs your muscles, brain and body tissue of oxygen, making your whole body and especially your heart work harder. Over time, your airways swell up and let less air into your lungs.

Smoking causes disease and is a slow way to die. The strain of smoking effects on the body often causes years of suffering.

Emphysema for example is an illness that slowly rots your lungs. People with emphysema often get bronchitis again and again, and suffer lung and heart failure.

Acquiring the habits of highly successful students

If we are to succeed in life, we must hone our learning skills.

1- The first step in this deriction is to sincerely point out the driving force or motivation. Let’s relax, and start listening the reason that impel you to study to study some topic as crude, as crude as they may be .its possible that your lists are empty. Don’t worry it only means that you have not identified any reason to study the chosen and very specific point (its for sure that you are an excellent learner in other areas of life. If you don’t have motivation to study then give the list of reasons why you don’t want to study and please note that this list cannot be empty whether you found a huge list of driving forces or a list of reason for not studying the end product of this step comprises at least one item a positive or negative driving force
